A walk inside St Mary Magdalene represents a tour of High Victorian decoration at its very best. There is a subtle mix of pink and white stone in the nave, much of it Butterfield’s original design, with a red brick and white string course. The nave was recently restored during a refurbishment by the parishioners.

The Organ was originally built by Messrs. Foster and Andrew at the church's construction in 1883. It was extensively rebuilt in 1977.
